Hailing from the city of Fall River, MA, The Sidewalkends was a truly original rock and roll quartet. Having completed their lineup in the Spring of 2003, they were soon hard at work writing and rehearsing songs, recording, and playing out. Their self-produced first EP, Flatiron Floorshow, was released in the late Spring of 2005. In keeping with their explosive live performance, the record showcases everything the band was about: An aggressively focused rhythm section provides a deceptively accessible foundation for an exciting and delicately balanced two-guitar front, setting the stage for two distinctive lyrical voices. Slowly and surely, the band built a dedicated following excited by a nuanced sense of melody and time, and above all an ability to take something old to someplace new.
